Unshackled queer bipoc Crafternoon
Join us for a crafternoon at North Melbourne Community Centre on Sunday 16th March 12-2pm and join Queer BIPOC community & allies for paper cutting and badge making crafts led by Dragon Yutahell & Kiki Shimano!
After the event we will be walking to Ezi Streat North Melbourne (5 min walk) for an informal lunch that is non-ticketed.
About The EVENT
After the success of Unshackled Queer Asian Performance Night in January, Kiki (@yaptimewithkiki) wanted to keep the momentum alive for the queer BIPOC community with a smaller scale, more socially focused event while fundraising for another larger event (a disability focused performances & pop up strip club!).
Queer BIPOC Crafternoon has been created as a collaborative effort with Dragon Yutahell (@dragon_yutahell), a local queer Asian Drag King & producer who featured in Unshackled Queer Asian Night as a performer and Q&A panellist who swiftly captured the crowd's hearts with his performative style that often references Chinese history, flowing movements and passionate involvement in the Melbourne Queer Asian & Drag scenes.
